CHANGING LEHIGH
Christmas Hall was renovated from a Moravian Church into Lehigh's first academic building in 1866. Lehigh's first classes were held in this building on September 1 of that year. There were forty students who attended classes.

Christmas and Saucon Halls were remolded and joined in 1926. Connecting the two buildings was a four-story central building. The two halls took the name of Christmas-Saucon Hall. The hall then became the home of the College of Business Administration, the Department of English and the Health Center.

Saucon Hall, the third building to be built on Lehigh's campus, was completed in 1872. This building originally served as a dormitory and a cafeteria for students.

Saucon Hall was converted into classrooms and a physics laboratory in 1886, replacing its former use as a dormitory.
